New Old News

Once again I have a lot of catching up to do. But I have some new things I'm REALLY excited about posting. I just told myself I had to get through my backlog first. So...here goes.

In case you haven't figure it out by now, Jaden LOVES Thomas the Train. While I'm not really excited about such enthusiasm over a "character" and I'd really just prefer him to like TRAINS in general.....there is just something about Thomas that he loves. So, I guess, a one year old should be happy and have things that he loves....therefore, we are accumulating a lot of Thomas things in our house.

After ALL of our traveling, I saw a little girl pulling her roller backpack through the airport. I assumed it had her toys/snacks in it for travel and I thought....WOW! That's GREAT! I'm SO tired of carrying all of that in my purse! Then, I saw a THOMAS THE TRAIN roller backpack and thought....THAT is what we need.

Jaden took to it RIGHT away. In fact, we didn't even make it out of the store before he had to get out of the cart and pull it around. It is now a favorite carrying place for Mr. Duck.

Just don't try to get Jaden to give you the backpack. It doesn't work. Even getting into the car and setting the backpack next to him was pushing it. He just wants to PULL IT!

It only took about 1/2 day before I decided that Thomas probably had to go back to the store. I was NOT ready to deal with 1 year old temper tantrums 20 times a day - over a BACKPACK!

Then I got creative. I asked Jaden to put Thomas in the backseat so he could sit with Thomas on our car trip. PERFECT! Happy Jaden, Happy Mommy.
