An Exciting Weekend

This weekend we traveled with the Mariachi group to Big Spring, TX. We did an outdoor concert under a tent and there was a HUGE turnout! One of the organizers told us that she was going to be SO happy if they had 150 people there. We are pretty sure there were over 300!!! It was tough to get a count, but all the chairs the church had taken outside were full, several people brought their own chairs, more than 80 people stood around outside the tent listening, and still more stayed in their cars with the windows down listening from the nearby parking lot and across the street! We also played for their outdoor worship service on Sunday and at a nursing home on Sunday afternoon.

Seeing how many people showed up and how they enjoyed the music just reminded me again of HOW AMAZING God is! He has promised to work through us as we use our gifts in His service. You never know who might have been there and how they might have been touched through the music and the message of hope, peace, and forgiveness that is found only in Christ that was shared. It was a LOT of fun! Praise God!
